Hello everyone! We have a few more glimpses of Eden Everlasting to share, and this time there is quite a bit of colour involved. From a ride beneath the evening sky to the little details around your character, more pieces of the browser client are coming together.
Everything shown in the screenshots below is running in the browser. These are moments from development, and we wanted to give them a little more room than a quick Discord update.
A different way to enjoy the view
Riding mounts is now implemented in the browser client! Naturally, we had to take one out for a proper look around. Our fiery, many-tailed fox makes quite an impression against the sunset, with those bright tails adding a little extra drama to an evening ride.
With riding in place, we have another way to explore the world. And with a mount this colourful, it is hard to resist stopping for a screenshot along the way.
We have also added enchant effects on items, giving equipment an extra bit of glow and making those details stand out on your character.

A more consistent interface
The interface has been getting attention too. We have been bringing the action bar, EXP bar, and player avatar into a more consistent UI, so those everyday pieces feel like they belong together as you move through the world.
Outlines help distinguish who is around you: white for NPCs, green for friendly characters, and red for enemies. We have also added NPC selection markers. In the screenshot, Bliss is selected with a white outline and a cyan marker overhead, making the current selection easy to pick out in town.
Together, these changes make it easier to read the scene and see what you have selected, while giving the interface a more consistent look.

A little more you
And then there are cosmetics. Red wings, a winter hat, goggles: sometimes an outfit starts with one favourite piece and gets a little more adventurous from there. We have been working on those personal touches in the browser, including the costume preview and its show toggles.
It is fun to see how much a different combination changes a character's personality. Whether you prefer something coordinated or a look your friends can recognise from across town, dressing up is part of the experience too.

Which mount would you ride, and what cosmetics would you pair it with?
